Sweet Spot in Emerald Isle

Always have to visit here! We love the ice cream and the people. My dog is always excited to get her little pup cup too!

Very friendly workers, large portions, and great prices for the amount you get, honestly some of the best icecream you'll ever have. It's also a a shop too, with basic beach things, saltwater Taffy, handcrafted items, and much more.

Excellent place to stop for ice cream and great selection of candy and gifts.

Staff was polite. Was Pretty expensive for ice cream and my waffle cone was stale. I did really like the saltwater taffy they had.

Omg do not take your kids in here you will not leave with out spending a small fortune on candy. The place is amazing. Any kind of candy you can think of. I mean it is a bit expensive but hey the awesome part is that you can weigh your own candy my daughter loved that. The staff was courteous and enjoyable. Stop in for a sweet treat.

Wish I could give them 10 stars. Been coming here for years in summer and fall. Dont be alarmed by the crowd they plan for that and do an amazing job getting you served quickly. If you r in line to the door it will barely take more than 5 minutes to get your sweet spot.

If you love icecream, this is the spot for you. A local suggested this shop and was no disappointed. Great sizes and prices and was able to go right to the pier and eat my come with the wife and walk down it. Will visit again

Every time I am in Emerald Isle and have a chance, I stop by. Their ice cream is delicious. We do not have a ice cream shop as good as theirs here in Smithfield.

Always one of our Emerald Isle vacation stops! Try their oatmeal ice cream...it's the BEST! And a sweet crew serving up welcome smiles.

Always the friendliest service! The sundaes are amazing and the taffy is on point. This is a staple visit for my yearly vacation!

Everyone here is very friendly and they are very efficient with their COVID-19 precautions. Everyone was wearing masks. They have someone who opens the door for you (entering and exiting), markings on the floor for which direction you should go and where you should stop. The ice cream is delicious and as others have said, they ask you if that’s enough when they hand it to you.

There are 29 people inside Sweet Spot. No one is social distancing. The kid out front is letting everyone in without looking at the current capacity. It’s very unsafe.

Great place to go with the family after a long day at the beach. Good selection of knacks to buy and great ice cream!

My new favorite vacation ice cream shop! 100% better than the big name place across the road. Very polite and helpful staff... And fantastic ice cream. 3 people were very, very happy! Had to wear a mask because of the Royal Governor of NC's decree... Gotta keep the Crown happy... But... It's ice cream, not cooked food. Even without covid-19 I don't want other people breathing on it, so I'm good! Great shop, and we will be back... Probably tonight!

Kind staff, pretty good COVID precautions, great ice cream. They have a variety of candy and taffy for sale along with beach decorations and souvenirs. They have like 50 types of ice cream (I think) and some shaved ice. When you come to Emerald Isle, definitely stop here.

My kids loved visiting this shop while on vacation. The ice cream was great. The employees will give samples so you can figure out what you’d like to order. There is an incredible amount of candy to choose from. Lots of different flavors of salt water taffy and souvenirs.

The ice cream at Sweet Spot is over-the-top good. Many varieties plus non-dairy options. Samples are available for free. The staff is always super nice. I have enjoyed each visit.

It was a really nice place to visit. Ice cream shop and souvenir shop in one place. I would prefer to support local shops instead of chains any day no matter where I go. It was a nice walking distance from our beach house.

If you are on the Emerald Isle side of the island, give it a go. Yes it does Hershey's ice cream (like AB Ice Cream Shop does) with endless combos of ice cream and toppings. This speaks for itself. Too much to choose from to not find something. Has cones. Sundaes and such are available. Sweet Spot separates itself from other joints in close proximity (DQ, Ben and Jerry's, etc) with selection of flavors/toppings mentioned above. Other ways it differentiates itself:1)Twins as a gift shop selling random souvenirs. Never paid attention to this but gifts and such are in the middle of it all. Interesting.2)Truffles. Lots of em. Lots of flavors. 3)Some candy like Jelly Belly and other novelty ones. Taffy too.4)My personal favorite, the rocking chairs out front. Love this. Prices here are very comparable to the aforementioned places and the selection makes this a go-to for ice cream and other sweets.

Went here 2 weeks ago and was able to walk in, order and eat outside. Very friendly service. Walked in today and was told to leave unless I have a mask. I understand that is their rules, however I will not be doing business with those who support the democratic governor and his crooked party. I as an American have a choice, that is what makes America Great. #DanForest2020

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I'm in Emerald Isle I stop by to try a new combination of ice cream on a waffle cone. The service that you get from the girls is unmatched, it's like they sprinkle little smiley faces on every cone. 5 stars without a doubt! Added bonus... they'll even top your cone off if you want a little more at no extra cost! Just leave them a tip, they deserve it!

Delicious ice cream. They are very efficient serving and getting folks through the line. The staff is amazingly awesome and nice. They always ask “is that enough” before giving you your ice cream. Wonderful service!They have a lot of knick knacks and a huge selection of taffy. Checkout their chocolate bar too.

The Sweet Spot is a great place to go if you want gifts that arent typical souviners. Great ice cream, very few non dairy options though. A wide selection of salt water taffy that is absolutely delicious, 70 flavors. The staff is friendly.

Favorite ice cream spot, this was our first venture back to the beach since social distancing started. They have procedures in place. An abundant number of flavors to choose from. I always get Key Lime Pie ice cream, my family trys different flavors. Nonfood items are interesting too, they have beach, pet, and trendy merchandise. I am a returning customer for some of the ocean themed bath and body items as well. It is a nice stop in after visiting the beach for the day.

This is apparently a very local haunt. When you first arrive there are a dozen rocking chairs outside and when we arrived it was filled to the brim. We thought this meant that we were in for a very long wait but they ran is through the line very quickly and their portions were huge. After words we walked through their gift shop section and picked up a gift. Very cool place and they have so many flavors!

You can't come to EI and not come here! One of the best places on the island!

The girls behind the counter were very polite with good manners. Prices were not bad for island prices. The ice cream was amazing and there wasn't a shortage on flavors. Free samples of ice cream, and even a free salt water taffy.

The staff is so friendly & helpful. I've always been greeted with a smile. Tons of unique little trinkets & the best ice cream around.

Milkshake was so good and the taffy flavors are innumerable.

Great place for ice cream! They were very patient with us...there were 12 of us getting ice cream! Cute gift and candy shop!

My parents have lived on the island for twenty years & I always make a point to visit this cute shop when I am in town. Excellent salt water taffy & ice cream. Also a nice selection of gifts, jewelry, trinkets etc. They are open year round but it can get really crowded during summer months. Grab an ice cream cone & enjoy in one of their rocking chairs out front! Staff is always friendly & professional. Great local business-a must when visiting the island!

This place makes an AWESOME traditional banana split. Could be a little more generous with the syrup toppings. This is my go to place for real ice cream.
